Boots Traditional Glycerin and Rosewater review

How are you?

Today I thought I'd do a review of one of my favourite skin care products of all time: Boots Traditional Glycerin and Rosewater 'beautifier' (toning and moisturising), one of my big sisters introduced this into my life by handing me over her bottle of the lovely stuff which unfortunately, she hadn't found to be her 'cup of tea', so a big thank you to Katie for my first big bottle!

Ingredients List:
Aqua, Glycerin, Isopropyl alcohol, Methylparaben, Sodium citrate, Citric acid, Parfum Eugenaria caryophyllus leaf oil, Rosa damascena flower oil

How to use:
Apply to face, neck or hands with cotton wool

Boots claim:
Boots Traditional Glycerin and Rosewater is a cooling, refreshing beautifier that softens and moisturises the skin. May be followed by Boots Traditional Skin cream.

My thoughts:
Like I previously mentioned, this really is one of my favourite skin care products of all time and an important step in my skin care regime. After cleansing, I'll dab a little of this all over my face and neck before applying moisturiser and since doing so, I've definitely noticed a huge difference in the softness of my skin. I used to have a very combination skin type but this has definitely helped with the dryness, making it great for winter. Also, when I fail to use it, I always notice a difference. I feel it 'awakens' the skin, helps to achieve a nice healthy glow and gives my skin a lovely soft texture. I've also noticed that since adding this into my regime, I have been suffering less from visible spots and blackheads. Of course, I still get them; I'm young and it's unavoidable but I honestly feel this has made a difference. Whether it's because my skin is getting an extra dosage of moisture from this product or because of the ingredients in it; I can't be sure, but I love it and 100% recommend it.

Notes on Texture + Smell:
The Texture of this product was something I found a little weird at first, I can't really describe it, it felt sort of powdery but I promise after the first use, you don't notice it (or at least I didn't) and it just feels pleasant on the skin. The fragrance is lovely because of the rose flower oil so you needn't worry about any nasty chemical smell (which also makes it lovely and gentle on skin)

You can buy the Beautifier online or in Boots stores nationwide for £2.32

I hope if you do try Boots Traditional Glycerin and Rosewater beautifier that you like it just as much as I do!
