Hello!
How are you?
Today I thought I'd do another DIY! This one unfortunately cannot double up as a healthy breakfast however it does look yummy and smells even better. This lip scrub is vanilla scented and full of carefully selected exfoliating and moisturising ingredients that are likely already in your kitchen cabinet. What's even better is that it literally only takes a few minutes to whip up!
What you will need:
(estimated)
2-3 tbsp sugar
1 tsp olive oil
2 tsps vanilla extract
and a good dollop of honey!
To begin making your scrub start by adding a good dollop of honey (or two!) to your sugar.
And mix
Next, add in your olive oil
And mix again
To finish your scrub, add in your vanilla essence and stir. If you fancy a more fruity flavoured scrub you can add a little lemon zest instead.

You should be left with a lip scrub of this consistency but you can always add a bit more sugar than I did (I simply used these quantities because I prefer a more gentle scrub)
You can use your scrub immediately or store it for a little treat now and then!
To use: Lightly damp lips, apply scrub with finger or toothbrush in circular motions, leave for 2-3 minutes, rinse and pat dry. Oh, and don't forget to follow with your favourite lip balm!
To store: Keep in an airtight container or pot and it should (as all the ingredients have a very long shelf life) last a good few weeks in the fridge.
I hope you've enjoyed this DIY!
Let me know if you decide to try this out, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Have you ever tried making your own DIY lip scrub before?
Until next time,
have a wonderful week,

What a lovely post, I keep meaning to go to Lush to pick up one of their offerings but I might have a go at making one myself now :)

I definitely recommend giving it a go, it's quite fun to make as you can customize it how you like + a lot cheaper as you can buy the ingredients in bulk! (I do love Lush though!!) Thanks so much for stopping by, L xo
