Recipe! Vanilla and raisin cookies

Finally, a recipe on Head full of flowers that isn't inedible and intended to be worn on your face!

I love baking and as today has been a very rainy, sluggish kind of day, I decided to try my hand at creating my own cookie recipe and well, it turned out rather nicely!

These vanilla and raisin cookies are crispy on the outside and chewy in the centre and very, very moreish.

You will need:

150g caster sugar
100g butter
250g plain flour
Up to 50ml milk
Raisins or other dried fruit
1tsp vanilla essence

To make:

Grease and line baking tray. Turn cooker to 180dc
Cream butter and sugar
Add in Vanilla essence
Sieve in plain flour and stir
Add milk little by little until cookie dough reaches a smooth dropping consistency
Now stir in your dried fruit
Use a spoon to create small cookie dough balls, I managed to make around 12 cookies.
Place on tray, put in oven and bake for 15 minutes or until slightly golden

And enjoy!

Let me know if you try these out for yourself!

I hope you have a wonderful week,

  1. These look and sound lovely! I must get back into my cookie making on Sundays! xxx

    1. That sounds great-I should definitely dedicate a day a week to baking-so much cheaper than buying snacks!
