Save the blow dry- review!

Hello!
How are you?

I love a good shower cap. Note, good. The thing is, I've never really been able to find one that doesn't leave me with half a head of damp, if not dripping hair. Well, until recently that is, when I very happily took the opportunity to try out save the blow dry.

You see, save the blow dry isn't your average, flimsy, one layer shower cap. No, this baby is a reversible, double layer beauty: the outer layer is waterproof whilst the inner layer is made from super-absorbent micro weave toweling. The waterproof layer holds a really gorgeous printed design while the inner layer ever so cleverly prevents any humidity/condensation build up. What's also fantastic is that you can use the shower cap in reverse for hair masks and oil treatments.

I really do love save the blow dry. I have very long hair and so if it gets damp, I generally have to wash it. Save the blow dry is incredible at preventing condensation build up and so finally, I don't have to worry about getting my hair wet every time I want a bath! I also really like using it for hair masks as it really locks in the moisture.

I definitely recommend save the blow dry, I think it would be perfect for events like weddings. Perhaps not as a hair fascinator but definitely if you want a roomy shower cap that won't ruin  your perfectly styled locks!

You can buy save the blow dry here for £14.95 with the choice of a pink or turquoise design.

I also fully support Save the blow drys incredible ethical stance: something I always look for in a company before buying or reviewing a product.

You see, Save the Blow dry are partnered with Khandel Light, a charity doing amazing work to greatly improve the lives of communities in and around Khandel, Rajasthan, India: one of the most impoverished regions in the world. Life for the poorest villagers of Khandel is at the margins of existence; families lack almost all the fundamental amenities considered essential and largely taken for granted in the UK and elsewhere - clean water, basic hygiene and sanitation, decent housing, medical care and access to education (especially girls). Every save the blow dry sold directly funds a fortnights safe drinking water for a family in the desert region of Khandel, making a basic, but vital difference to people living with constant drought, where temperatures soar to 45 degrees.

You can learn more about the work of Khandel Light, here.

I hope you've had a wonderful week and have an even better weekend!

Do you have any plans?

I'm not sure what I'm doing yet, I sat my last exam today and so I think I'll just relax for the weekend and take a breather before all the fun begins! I really appreciate these few months I have off to travel, relax, write, blog and see friends before they head off to university and work. I think it's going to be an incredible summer and I'm so excited for it all to begin!
