Aldeburgh Carnival 2014

Today me and a few friends took a trip down to Suffolk's coastline for the annual Aldeburgh 3 day carnival; each year the carnival brings in hundreds and hundreds of people from all over the country, including the odd celeb and this year was celebrating its 72nd anniversary with the theme 'mardis gras'. The parade was bigger and better than ever, the costumes were fabulously flamboyant and the atmosphere was wonderful. Although, I have to say, I am a little disappointed I didn't get a picture with Sir Michael Gambon!

It was such a nice day, looking around the stalls, boats, art exhibitions and eating one too many fizzy blue bottles. I haven't been to the aldeburgh carnival in a few years now and so it was a wonderfully nostalgic day celebrating all the things we love about Suffolk and raising money for some awesome coastline facilities as well as other charities.
