Well, hello! I’m Isabella from Bella’s
Beauty Box and Lizzie decided to let me do a wonderful guest post (on her
pretty amazing blog). In case you aren’t familiar with my blog, I am a beauty
blogger from the Midwest (represent!) who loves both makeup and sports (how ‘bout dem Bears?). I am a
self-proclaimed skincare (and stuffing) snob who thinks that you should feel
beautiful with AND without makeup.
I feel that the only way to really sum up
myself (and my blog) is to talk about my current holy grail makeup products. I
obviously limited myself to 6 items and I had to cut quite a few good products
(it hurt… it hurt a lot). I tried to do a mix of different products and things
that I absolutely can’t live without.
Before I get onto my holy grail products, I
feel obliged to ramble on and on about myself… Just kidding. I’m really going
to ramble on about my blog (#TypicalBeautyBlogger). On my blog, I talk about
anything and everything beauty related. I do reviews, beauty guides, and
celebrity makeup tutorials (feel free to comment down below what celebrities
you would like me to do). I put up a new post about three to five times a week,
depending on how busy I am. I think that I am a unique blogger because I talk
in prose (basically I talk casually) and like to just be myself and only
myself.
Now that I am done rambling, let’s get into
the actual post.
I am a big drugstore makeup fan, but I do
like to branch out sometimes and try some amazing high end makeup. As you can
see, most of my holy grail items are drugstore. I love finding good, yet
affordable, makeup at the drugstore. With that in mind, let’s do this thing!
1.
Clinique
Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup ($20):
I talk about this foundation a whole lot on my blog. It is a really amazing
foundation that can be built up to have a really full coverage or can be
applied to give a light almost natural looking coverage. I love that it applies
really easily and I found a really good shade match for my skin (I wear Fresh
Ivory). This is a great foundation for daily use. I also love that it helps
fight acne because I struggle with acne issues. This is just an overall great
foundation.
2.
SkinCeuticals
Hydrating B5 Gel ($89): This is quite an expensive hydrating gel. I
actually get this from my dermatologist and it does wonders on my skin. I find
that this helps people that have dry skin or get dry patches (I have combo skin
with the occasional dry patches). It is pretty expensive, but I believe that it
is worth it because I wear it under my makeup and it really helps smooth my
skin. I use this like you would use a serum—I apply it every day after I wash
my face. It works wonders, is super light, and immediately sinks into the skin.
3.
Maybelline
Baby Lips ($5): I have also talked about this product on my blog (I
compared it to the EOS lip balms) and absolutely love it. Some of the Baby Lips
give off a really beautiful tint to the lips and they are super moisturizing.
If you are trying to find a great tinted lip balm (or just a lip balm in
general), I would recommend the Baby Lips. They are super inexpensive and they
still keep my lips smooth and unchapped.
4.
Covergirl
LashBlast Volume Mascara ($8.99): I got this mascara a few months ago and I
basically fell in love with it. I bought it because of EleventhGorgeous
(an amazing YouTube channel) and I think it is one of the best (if not the
best) mascara I have ever tried. I have tried a whole bunch of different
mascaras and no other mascara compares to the volume this gives. It is
definitely a mascara that you should give a try. It does tend to get a little
clumpy after you put another coat on, but other than that, I have nothing but
good things to say about this wonderful mascara.
5.
CVS
Make-Up Removing Towelettes ($5.99): These makeup removing wipes do a
fantastic job at removing my makeup. The drugstore has a whole bunch of
different makeup removing options, but I really think that makeup wipes are
super convenient and handy to have. I love the CVS makeup removing wipes
because they don’t sting my eyes like some other wipes do and it also does a
good job taking off all of my makeup. I normally take off my makeup first and
then go in and wash my face with my cleanser. I don’t even need to wash my face
a lot because the wipes take off almost all of my makeup. I would really
recommend these to anyone who is looking for an inexpensive yet effective
makeup remover.
6.
Wet
N Wild Walking on Eggshells Trio ($2.99): Who knew that you could get three
amazing quality eyeshadows for only $3? Wet N Wild is a great quality and
affordable drugstore makeup brand that produces amazing quality eyeshadows and
lipsticks that I absolutely love. This trio is my favorite eyeshadow trio in my
collection. There is a beautiful browbone highlight shade that also works
really well in the inner corners of your eye. The brown crease shade is my
personal favorite eyeshadow in the trio because it is a beautiful shimmery
caramel color that looks really good on my brown eyes. The eyelid color is a
really beautiful champagne like color that is absolutely stunning. All of the
shadows work really well together and this is certainly a great buy for anyone
looking for a good everyday eye shadow trio.
Thanks for reading along! Comment down
below your holy grail makeup items and what beauty products you think I should
give a try. Feel free to check out my blog (here)! I would love to talk to
you wonderful people!
Have a fantastic day! #StayBeautiful

ReplyDeleteGreat guest Isabella! Walking on Eggshells is definitely one of my all time fav W&W trios, one of the few eye shadows I've hit pan on. :-)
